Sri Lanka have named uncapped wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Chandimal in their 15-man squad to compete in the Twenty20 World Cup next month.
The 20-year-old was called up for the squad by selectors on Wednesday after scoring 320 runs at an average of 53.33 in Sri Lanka's domestic T20 league.
Also included in the squad is 40-year-old veteran Sanath Jayasuriya, who is campaigning to become a member of parliament in Sri Lanka's elections.
Off spinner Suraj Randiv is one of three specialist spinners included in the line-up alongside regulars Muttiah Muralitharan and Ajantha Mendis.
Kumar Sangakkara will lead Sri Lanka's campaign in the tournament, while Muralitharan will be his deputy
Sri Lanka will take on New Zealand in the opening match of the competition, which will be staged in the West Indies and is scheduled to take place from April 30 to May 16.
