Sri Lanka avenged Saturday's defeat to New Zealand with a crushing seven-wicket victory over the Black Caps in Florida on Sunday to level the Pearls Cup series 1-1.
Having dismissed New Zealand for a paltry 81 all out, Sri Lanka cruised to their victory target in just 15.3 overs.
The series, which took place at Central Broward Park in Lauderhill about 30 miles from Miami, is the first time two full International Cricket Council members have played a series in the United States.
But the organisers will have been disappointed with this one-sided spectacle.
Only captain Daniel Vettori (27) and all-rounder Nathan McCullum (36 not out) reached double figures in New Zealand's innings as they were blown away by Sri Lanka's pace attack.
The pick of the bowlers was Nuwan Kulasekara who took three wickets in the second over of the match to reduce the Black Caps to four for three. He finished with three for four from three overs and the man of the match award.
Lasith Malinga claimed three for 12 to provide excellent back-up.
At 13 for five, it could have been embarrassing for New Zealand but a stand of 45 for the sixth wicket between Vettori and Nathan McCullum at least gave their total a degree of respectability.
Sri Lanka still rattled off the required runs with ease, though.
Tillakaratne Dilshan was Sri Lanka's star turn with the bat with an unbeaten 33.
