Shakib_Al_HasanBangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and elected to bat in the Asia Cup one-day international against India at the Rangiri stadium on Wednesday.

Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by 16 runs in the opening match of the four-nation tournament on Tuesday.

PAK_TEAMThe Pakistani squad for the Asia cup cricket tournament left for Sri Lanka from the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi and have safely reached the city of Colombo.
 
Thirteen of the fifteen member squad are practicing in Sri Lanka, while Mohammad Asif and all-rounder Abdur Razzaq will join the team in a few days time to start their practice in Dambulla - the venue of the continental event.

On the eve of the departure of the team, Captain Shahid Afridi addressed a big media contingent at the airport and vowed to give his best in Sri Lanka.

Pakistan’s squad for the event sees the return of the two Shoaib’s, Malik and Akhtar after both were out of contention for one reason or another.

Former Sri Lanka all-rounder Vaas made 54 as a makeshift opener to help the Steelbacks reach 143-8 from their 20 overs at Wantage Road.

Having dismissed New Zealand for a paltry 81 all out, Sri Lanka cruised to their victory target in just 15.3 overs.

VassNorthants have signed Sri Lankan seamer Chaminda Vaas until the end of this season's Twenty20 campaign. 

The 36-year-old left-arm bowler is expected to make his county debut in the Championship match against Surrey at Wantage Road, starting on 24 May.
