CR-Z_HondaCar giant Honda has brought a touch of style to the hybrid car market in the form of its new model, the CR-Z.

The sleek new coupe was unveiled to the world's press prior to going on sale in Japan on Friday and in Europe and the US later in the year.

Honda's latest entry into the hybrid car market has been made with younger drivers in mind as the car maker seeks to broaden its customer base on the back of the success of Toyota's Prius and Honda's own Insight model.

hidden_worldsA micro-ear could soon help scientists eavesdrop on tiny events just like microscopes make them visible.

Initially, researchers will use it to snoop on cells as they go about their daily business.

It may allow researchers to listen to how a drug disrupts micro-organisms, in the same way as a mechanic might listen to a car's engine to find a fault.

A team from three UK institutions are building the device, which they hope will become standard lab equipment.

Black Eyed Peas' I Gotta Feeling was officially named the site's most downloaded track, with their single Boom Boom Pow the third biggest seller.
